Alma Paprika is a beautiful Hungarian heirloom pepper known for its round, apple-like pods and naturally sweet flavor. The peppers start pale green and gradually mature to a warm red, developing a richer, sweeter character as they ripen. Traditionally associated with Hungarian pepper-growing and paprika-making, Alma brings a classic European pepper heritage to the garden.
In the kitchen, Alma Paprika is incredibly versatile. It can be enjoyed fresh, roasted, stuffed, pickled, or dried and ground into homemade paprika. Its sweet flavor and relatively mild heat also make it a fantastic choice for sauces, or powders, where it adds color, body, and a gentle peppery sweetness without overpowering the rest of the recipe.
